2021 Summer Live Performance at the Ossian Educational and Performance Pavilion Features the “Tom and Betty Show”
The first of eight live summer performances at the Ossian Educational and Performance Pavilion will take place on Sunday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m. Tom and Elisabeth Kirby are two members of Mason City, Iowa’s popular band “Betty and the Gents”. The “Tom and Betty Show”, which will be featured for this live performance, is known for its unique spin on popular covers and Betty’s “dreamy soul-pop” original songs. Tom’s influences include the Beatles, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, and Garth Brooks. Betty’s influences include Ingrid Michaelson, Korey Cooper (Skillet), Juni West, and Chris Martin (Coldplay). This live performance is sponsored by the Luana Savings Bank.
Tom and Betsy Kirby are the featured performers for this event. Tom, a native of Calmar, Iowa, is a 7th grade math teacher for the Mason City Community School District. Betsy is a music teacher for the Mason City Community School District. Tom, Betsy and their boys live in Mason City. Tom is the son of Kenn and Shirley Kirby of Calmar,
The 2021 Summer Performances at the Pavilion includes movies and live performances during the summer months. The Ossian Educational and Performance Pavilion features a state of the art sound system, a large movie screen and recessed lighting.
Other future events include another movie night on Wednesday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m. featuring “Soul Surfer”. The movie‘s sponsor is Bushman Insurance. The second of eight live performances will be on Wednesday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. Mike McAbee will perform. Reilly Construction, Inc sponsors this live performance
All 2021 Summer Performances at the Pavilion are free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the event on the lawn at Carey’s Park in Ossian. The 2021 Summer Performances at the Pavilion are sponsored by the City of Ossian, the Ossian Crown Club and Casey’s General Store – Ossian.
